"The the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. The rubber does give off a strong odor at first. After unboxing, I put them out in the backyard in the Arizona sun for a day on each side. That helped! They still have a slight odor that you can smell when you walk into the room, but after a few minutes you don't notice it. I'm sure it will diminish with time."

Plus, these plates should be getting marks/dinks/scratched from use like any other brand, but don’t cost hundreds more. Home use, private gym, community gym, it does not matter.
